First Days

My oldest baby had her first day of school this week!! Where has the summer gone? Growing up, I didn’t start the school year until after Labor Day, but here in Colorado our kids start in the first week of August- crazy!!! Anyway I love the classic first day of school pictures so for the last couple of years I’ve made personalized signs for my kids to hold for their first day of school picture. I’m particularly proud of the one I made for her this year!...

Be the GOOD!

Some time last year the Relief Society (women’s group) at our church hosted a Women’s conference with the theme of Be the Good. They had cute little posters around the room where “Be the Good” stood out within the words “Believe there is good in the world.” The keynote speaker was Alissa Parker, a mom whose daughter, Emille, went to Sandy Hook Elementary and was killed by the gunman who entered the school. The entire audience was spellbound and in tears as we listened to her story. I cannot even imagine how incredibly awful that would have been. This post is definitely late but I guess it’s better late than never, so here it goes: I’m sorry in advance for this long post. My husband has told me that brevity in story telling is not one of my greatest skills. But as we embark on a new year with a new chapter for our business I wanted to share a little bit about myself and the changes happening with this third of the “Musers.”   In July of 2013 we moved to Boise, Idaho for what we knew would be the final two years of Kevin’s schooling. Change for the Better

Don’t be afraid of change. You may lose something good, But you may gain something better. Welcome to our new and (hopefully) improved website! It is a time of great change for the three of us at McKay Manor Musers, both personally and with our little business. A few years ago we had a developer create our website, but now that developer has moved onto other things and will no longer be supporting our website.
